Eira Rug

Eira Rug is hand tufted and hand-carved from a blend of New Zealand wool and viscose, marrying a soft, tactile base with a subtle variation in sheen.  The design takes its name from Eira, a figure from Norse mythology associated with healing and the sustaining forces of nature.  That sense of renewal carries through into the pattern, which is inspired by the structure of a tree viewed across its growth rings, with tighter, denser sections suggesting winter dormancy and broader, more open areas marking the return of growth in spring and summer.
