Giraffe Portrait on Easel

This small, crackled panel reimagines Agasse’s Girafe de Nubie with a pleasingly off‑kilter charm. Artists begin by reproducing the original painting through transfer before taking it somewhere altogether more atmospheric: every dent, crackled contour and layer of patina is applied entirely by hand. Rusty nail marks, soft humidity traces, discreet stamps and a knowingly timeworn finish create a piece that feels as if it has stepped sideways out of its own century. It is supplied on a beautiful wooden, adjustable stand fitted with hand‑turned knobs.
