Ruan Hoffmann L'Amour Fou Plate

The L'Amour Fou plate, part of the Vide Poche collection, showcases Ruan Hoffmann's signature blend of wit, romance and artistic expression.  Translating from French as "mad love" or "crazy love", l'amour fou is a cultural concept associated with an all-consuming, passionate form of love that has inspired artists, writers and filmmakers across Europe for generations.  Hoffmann playfully reinterprets the phrase, presenting it as a bold declaration on a beautifully crafted decorative plate.

Made in Portugal using traditional European faience techniques, the piece combines finely glazed earthenware with hand-applied 24K gold accents.  The vibrant colours and expressive typography reflect the creative exchange between L'OBJET and Hoffmann, resulting in an object that feels both collectable and delightfully unexpected.  Its petite size makes it ideal for holding rings, jewellery and other small treasures, or mount on a wall with other treasured art for an eclectic feel.

 To preserve the beauty of the finish, this piece may be safely cleaned in the dishwasher using a gentle, energy-efficient air-dry cycle. It can also be hand washed and carefully dried with a soft cloth. Not suitable for use in the microwave.
